The questions sometime comes up, "What is urban design and what do urban designers do?" The URBAN DESIGN GROUP at http://www.udg.org.uk/careers give a very good, straightforward explanation to these questions.

The following projects were done under the guidance of, and in collaboration with, ARGDesign while contracting to that office. The Project 2 proposal was undertaken with ARGDesign in collaboration with Guy Briggs.

I was initially employed by a firm of local architects as a freelance consultant to prepare a concept design for this project. Unfortunately, the initial concept I prepared for these Architects was not taken any further. As a result I had no further involvement in the project. However, the project really captured my interest. So, I decided to continue with it as a design excercise.
